So my little sister got married in 2013, and we had a lot of fun putting together the designs for all of their stationery elements. They wanted something contemporary and interesting, nothing too ‘weddingy’, with simple typography coupled with strong elements of pattern, and here’s what we came up with…
Their invitation stationery was made up of: rubber stamped beer mat Save the Dates (see here for more details), Invitation card, Directions and Map card, RSVP card and envelope, website card and gifts card, as well as a post wedding party invitation tag. We created a custom rubber stamp that was used to stamp the RSVP envelopes that introduced a little pattern to these too. All the elements were sent out to guests in a little draw string hessian bag that was also stamped.
Both my sis and Ben both love colour, and colour featured heavily thoughout their wedding day, which is why they chose the monchrome theme for their stationery, with a tiny hint of the sun in yellow on their ‘post wedding’ pool party invites.
