I was asked to put together some thank you bouquets, and took the excuse to head to Covent Garden Flower Market for an early morning flower and foliage fix. I wasn’t disappointed and spent my time trawling the rows of incredible blooms and glorious flora.
After much deliberation I finally decided upon muted subtle colours, and wanted to include some seasonal elements with a bit of texture. I went for: blue thistles, dahlias, small white wax flowers, vintage roses, pretty spiky chrysanthemums (often given a bad rap but I think these are lovely), eucalyptus and hebe. Here are the final bouquets…
I think these colours would work really well for weddings too, particularly if you were looking for a vintage look with modern structural elements.
