Our country garden wedding was featured over on Love my Dress. Thank you to the lovely Annabel for the feature and of course thank you to the wonderful Mark Tattersall for the photographs and the memories. Here are some images from the day and of our stationery captured by Mark.
I’ve created a couple of blog posts about our wedding and these can be found here.
The invitation sets were made up of a number of elements including: the wedding invitation, postcard style RSVP card, a keepsake map of the local area, and finally a little booklet with information about the weekend of the wedding and things to do in the area. The map was placed inside a glassine bag and secured with washi tape, the booklet was sewn together using gold thread and finished off with 2 little tags, one had an icon from the wedding and the other the guest’s name/s.
The inspiration for the invitations was simple really, it was… us and our wedding! We designed a number of images and emblems that held strong meanings for us and our families as well as features from the local area and incorporated them with the print we designed for the bridesmaids dresses (see here for more information on our bridesmaids dresses). Paul was heavily involved in the design process and drew a number of the elements and emblems as well as helping pull them altogether. There was so much meaning and thought put into their design, that when they were finished they weren’t just invitations, they had evolved to become a little story of us and our wedding.
