Diksha and Mike

I never actually had the pleasure of meeting the gorgeous Diksha and Mike, but we had lots of lovely conversations via Skype in order to put their bespoke stationery designs together.  I have loved looking at their wedding day photographs by the very talented On Love and Photography, which looks so full of love and laughter. Their (second) wedding in the Lake District was a beautiful coming together of cultures, full of vibrant colours and lots of nods to their stunning venue, the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel in Great Langdale, Ambleside. Their first wedding was in Nepal, where Diksha’s family is from, and looked amazing from the photos Diksha was kind enough to send me.

For their stationery we created a fold out map invitation that contained RSVP, accommodation and gift information, an order of the day, a little image of Nepal, as well as a beautiful quote from Wainwright about the Lake District. On the other side of the fold out was a map showing the area surrounding their venue and all the places of interest that their guests could visit whilst there for their wedding. We also created a number of items for the wedding day itself including a hanging material banner seating plan, which they hung inside their marquee to direct their guests to their seats alongside a large order of the day banner printed onto material that hung from a tree.
